Welcome to Cross of Hope! Wherever you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome here. We look forward to meeting you and sharing the blessings of the journey together!

Worship

Join us on Sundays and Wednesdays to hear God’s Word proclaimed through scripture, sermon messages, and song and share at God’s table in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. About our worship:

Sunday 8:30 am

Experience the rich presence of God through the time honored Lutheran style of worship. Together we’ll sing hymns with organ and piano accompaniment, be blessed by musical offerings from the Voices of Hope choir, and additional worship music from a setting in Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW). Worship is about one hour.

Sunday 10:45 am

Experience the rich presence of God through an intentionally casual style of worship. Together we’ll sing praise songs led by our worship band, Praise + Team, lift our voices in prayer, and support each other on our journey of faith. Worship is about one hour.

Wednesday 6:30 pm

Experience the rich presence of God through a unique style of midweek worship. Together we’ll gather for a time of singing and prayer, encounter God’s word, and share Communion at God’s table. Worship is about 30 minutes.

Occasionally, we host a joint Sunday service (usually at 10:00 am) for a rich experience in which we all worship together. This will be announced via the home page of our site and on our social media platforms.

What to Expect

Children

God loves the little children! Children are always welcome and encouraged to worship. We’re most fully the body of Christ when our youngest are present. For your hospitality, child care is provided in the nursery as desired.

Holy Communion

Taste and see that God is good! God meets us in the meal of Holy Communion. We believe and teach that Jesus is truly present and we come by the Spirit’s leading just as we are. You are always welcome at God’s table. For your hospitality, grape juice and gluten free bread are available.

Dress

Come as you are, all are welcome.

Sunday school/adult education

Jesus shapes our lives for daily living.  Find several classes each Sunday and Wednesday for all ages. Sunday classes meet at 9:45am and Wednesdays at 7pm for about an hour. Find out about our current class offerings here.

HeBrews

Coffee is a sign that God loves us. All visitors receive a free cup of specialty coffee or tea from our coffee shop/hospitality ministry. Just let us know you are visiting!

Rainbow Trail Lutheran Day Camp @ Cross of Hope
Jun 10 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Cross of Hope partners with Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp to offer a day camp (similar to a VBS program). Kids ages 3 through fifth grade are invited to share in this memorable and fun experience. (Note: preschool age youth dismiss at 11:30 daily.) Older youth are welcome to act as junior counselors and volunteer alongside Rainbow Trail camp counselors. The general camp schedule includes:

  • Sondance – Each day begins with an interactive time to introduce the daily theme through use of scripture, song, drama, puppets, etc.
  • Bible Study – The Bible Study and week’s theme will unfold in small groups.  Bible stories and experiential learning activities are stressed.
  • Music – Music is a fun, daily part of camp sessions.
  • Recreation – Fun, non-competitive, outdoor games appropriate to each age group.
  • Arts and Crafts – The campers make something each day that ties in with the daily theme and provides them an opportunity to bring Day Camp home to their family.  Arts and crafts are generally “from scratch,” and lots of fun for the kids.
  • Devotions/Rest – This is a quiet time to review what was learned during the day.  Counselors may use picture drawing, journal writing, or stories to help in this time for reflection.
  • Lunch – Each day children bring a sack lunch for the noon meal.
  • Special Activities – Fun activities such as a talent show and water day add to the week’s excitement.
  • Closing – This is a wrap up of the day filled with more singing and fun.  It’s a great way to review the theme of the day and send kids home excited about what they’ve learned.
