Cross of Hope Elementary School (COHES)
The process for an abbreviated or canceled school day,
usually due to weather conditions, is as follows:
Please watch the news or listen to the radio. We will follow whatever APS does as a district (not just their mountain schools, but all schools). If they cancel school, then so will we. If APS goes to a 2 hour delay, then so will we. School will begin at 10am, and the boys and girls need to bring a lunch (it’s too late for us to order meals). If the 2 hour delay is on a FRIDAY, then we still start at 10am, BUT we will be done at 3:15pm (not 12:00pm). We will have some of our specials, but probably not all of them, and yes, the students will need to bring their lunches. Safety is always a priority; please keep that in mind as you are making your decisions about coming to school. If you do decide to keep your child(ren) at home, please give us a call and let us know; they can get their homework the next school day.
Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is on-going until classes are filled. We still have some openings in 2nd through 5th grades. We welcome new students at anytime! Please call us if you and your son or daughter are interested in a tour of our site.
