A look ahead

Parents,
Please be advised that in the month of February we will be having two field trips. Our first is going to be on Thurday, February 2. We will be going up to Santa Fe to see how state government works. We will meet our local Senator, have a tour of the Roundhouse, and then go to lunch. Permission slips will be coming home next week. Also, we will be going to Popejoy to see Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters on February 14. I will keep you posted with more information on that.
Finally, our students will be presenting their science projects on Tuesday, January 24 from 11:00-12:00. You are welcome to come and see the wonderful work our 5th grade has done. Presentations will be in the Great Hall. I look forward to seeing you there.

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a restful Christmas Break. We are now back in full swing with plenty of new material to learn the second half of fifth grade. Parents, please make sure your child is getting a good night's rest because it is so important! Children who are not rested do not have the most optimal learning conditions. Also, don't forget that the Science Fair is going to be held January 23-25. Students are required to bring in projects on Monday, January 23. You will find more helpful information in my January newsletter.
