After School Care - April Irwin
Can you believe how quickly the summer has gone by? It's been a fun one, but I am excited to get back to school. I have some exciting things planned for your amazing children this year and I can't wait to dive in head first. It's kind of neat to look back at this time last year and realize that we were still deciding what the program would look like and how we were going to get this off the ground. God works in incredible ways and I am so thankful to be coming back this year!
If you are new to our school or to the after school program, welcome! My name is April Irwin, but the kids call me Miss AJ. I am the director of the program and I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. My favorite part of the program is teaching the kids about God in unconventional ways. This year's program will be very art focused, but we will still get to cook every Friday (and other long days too!). I like teaching about different things and showing the kids how God works, then pointing out the connection. We learn pretty much whatever the kids are interested in including: the circus, the heart, bats, etc. We have so much fun!
I will keep you posted on how things are going and what to expect for the first week of school. I also hope to see you at Parent Night on Monday, August 15 from 6:30 to 8:00pm! We will have packets for registration ready for Parent Night. All packets are due that night including the first month's payment and expected schedule. See you then!
