Mrs. Clegern   Hi!  I'm Mrs. Clegern, and I am blessed to be teaching kindergarten at Cross of Hope Elementary.   I love teaching ... and kindergarten is my favorite!  My bachelor's degrees are in Elementary Education and Vocal Music Education and my Master's Degree is in Early Childhood/Primary Education.  This is my eighteenth year of working in education. I have taught in Nebraska, Colorado, California and New Mexico.  I have served as a preschool teacher, a first grade teacher, a third grade teacher, a Director of Children's Mnistries, and a reading and math Chapter 1 teacher in addition to being a kindergarten teacher.  Teaching is a joy and a privilege.

My passion is helping young children to feel loved, accepted and successful in school.  Teaching in a small Christian school is ideal for creating the loving classroom community needed to accomplish these goals.  I really appreciate the nuturing atmosphere of our small school, and I am grateful for the opportunity to teach Christian truths alongside the regular academic areas.  I am allowed to teach to the whole child at Cross of Hope- to help them develop academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually.  It is both an awesome responsibility and an amazing gift.

Our classroom is colorful, cheerful, busy and fun.  (Hmmm...notice that I did not include "quiet!" Wink)  We love to explore learning together.  I hope that if you come to visit Cross of Hope, you will stop by and visit our kindergarten family.

    Blessings to you and yours,
~ Sarah Clegern
