About The Teacher

Hello everyone!

My name is April J. Irwin, but the kids call me Miss AJ. I am a native New Mexican and I grew up in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. I went to school in the public school system and was blessed with caring teachers and a great education. I have recently graduated from UNM with my bachelor's of science in Elementary Education. When I first became a Christian a few years ago, my church called and asked me to volunteer in children's ministry. I gave it a try and fell in love with the kids. I changed my major from Nutrition to Education a few months later. Running the after school program is my first teaching experience, and I am loving every minute of it!
