About The Teacher

My name is Tara Tegard, and I am better known as Mrs. Tara. Last year, I worked as AJ Irwin’s assistant in the after school care program. Now that she has followed God's call to move to Alabama, I will take over as the director of the program. I am so excited to get to teach your children this year! They are a blessing and a joy.

I have worked with kids my whole life. I have worked with my mom in her home daycare, babysat and been a nanny, tutored, and volunteered at a children’s library. I have taught Sunday school, been a youth leader and the Sunday school administrator for my church. I have my bachelor’s degree from UNM in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in language arts. Working with children is all I know how to do!
