On May 11, members and friends gather at Cross of Hope at 8:00, 9:30 and 10:45 to celebrate God’s many gifts to us.
It is going to be a big day.
At all services we give and dedicate the commitments made for Sharing More Hope / Than EVER, which will put Cross of Hope on the road to becoming a millennial church.
At 10:45 we confirm eight young people as they reaffirm their baptismal vows in the rite of Confirmation. After three years of study, Alec B., Zachary D., Maria G., Sawyer H., Spencer N., Wyatt P., Stephanie S. and Ashley Y. become adult members in the body of Christ at Cross of Hope.
And it’s Mother’s Day. We’ll take time to thank mothers for their crucial place in our lives.
The Sunday after Celebration Sunday, May 18 begins 156 weeks of giving for Sharing More Hope / Than EVER. Called First Fruits Sunday, we begin regular giving or giving of large gifts to the effort. Special envelopes are provided.
You can, of course, make your contribution weekly, monthly, yearly, or in a lump sum. Bonds, securities, real property, jewelry and assets are welcomed.
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. —2 Corinthians 9:11-12
