It doesn't seem possible that we have come to the end of another school year. This is always a bitter-sweet time. Certainly there is joy as we look at the many successes of our year; the addition of a 4th grade class, 13 new students and families, computers in every classroom, the addition of a dedicated PE instructor and an amazing music director, a wonderful Dessert Concert, Friday Pizza, Jump Rope Club, a spectacular Christmas performance, Children of Hope Sunday, many service learning projects, our second book fair, Bless the Teachers Week, spelling bee for our intermediate students, the opening of our library, our first school-wide science fair, and our Texas Roadhouse Nights. There has been such a sense of joy throughout the year as we have worked to strengthen our service to God.
Our success is due to so many who believe in this ministry. Both Pastor Dale and Pastor Nico are loved and respected by our entire school community. They are clearly important spiritual leaders. Our Board of Management is dedicated to our school and works diligently to support our children, staff, and families. The Cross of Hope congregation is amazing! We receive help and encouragement from so many individuals, who joyfully give of their time, talent and resources. Our Parents of Hope continue to build their support for one another as well as seeking avenues to make our school a great place where all students and families can prosper. We all know that Cross of Hope is an exceptional school because of our teachers who are amazing on so many levels. Sharon Halstead, Carla Rael, Jane Petre, Rosalie Hipple, and Marilee Thompson are masterful teachers. They bring expertise, joy and love to their work on a daily basis. Their commitment touches many lives.
There is also a sense of sadness as we close this year, thinking about families who will be moving on to different schools and even different states. Their presence as members of our school community will be missed and our prayers accompany them.
The summer will allow us to spend time with family and friends as well as participate in different learning opportunities. We wish each of our supporters a restful and safe summer as well.
